The Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for leading day-to-day transportation operations and courier workforce. Oversee all aspects of transportation discipline to include safety and security compliance's, route structures and development, personnel scheduling, work load assignments and cost control.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience with at least 5 years in progressive management functions to include employee relations, performance management, recruitment, training and coaching in a multi-stop dispatch operation
  • Bachelors Degree in Business and or related field
  • Supervises and assigns responsibilities of all transportation personnel, including route delivery, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery/pick-up of all service requests from customers and other transportation activities as required by the needs of the company and the customer base.
  • Implements schedules, departure times, and daily functions of the Department.

  • Assists in determining rental requirements and equipment needs
  • Works with Leasing company to ensure proper maintenance schedules of trucks.
  • Ensures that the transportation group provides excellent internal and external customer service while achieving goals.
  • Motivates and provides supportive leadership for those supervised. This would include practicing a "coaching" style of management that utilizes collaborative and team directed approaches to managing employees.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, Local and/or Provincial transportation regulations to include knowledge of fleet safety & maintenance.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Candidate must have prior managerial experience in the transportation and delivery industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills

We are currently seeking qualified drivers to operate our company cargo vans or your own van for business and home parcel delivery. There are operations dispatching out of Burbank, Orange County, Inland Empire, and San Diego.

Shifts: Morning & Afternoon
Schedule: Monday through Friday; Daytime hours. Weekend possible

Responsibilities:

  • Make an average of 40-60 deliveries and drive an average of 70-200 miles per day.
  • Make sure packages are delivered safely and in a timely manner.
  • Notify dispatch of any incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns or any other issues during shift.
  • Some routes require overtime. Must be able to work OVERTIME, IF NECESSARY.
  • Hours worked daily will vary between 8 to 12 hours per day.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior delivery experience required (FedEx, DHL, Amazon or UPS a plus).
  • Valid Class C driver's license with minimum of five years driving experience.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs, on a repetitive basis.
  • Good attitude, customer service oriented and attention to detail is a must!
  • You MUST be 25 years or older.
  • Drivers paid bi-weekly.
